An Early Access player recipe combines Big Fat Doobie, Lucky Bastard, Lucky Last and damage upgrades. 1.0 changed key patterns and effects, so the old grid and damage result need retesting.
A dated single-target setup
A community discussion describes a Lead Flinger setup usingBig Fat Doobie, Lucky Bastard,Lucky Last, and as many damage-increase upgrades as fit, including Double Action. The player framed it as a single-target “hullcracker” build. This is an Early Access recipe; it is not a verified 1.0 best build.
The underlying idea was to combine flat damage upgrades with a weapon that had low base damage. Do not reuse the older “around 600 damage per shot” report as a current value.

What 1.0 changed
- Big Fat Doobie and Blood-Rush received pattern changes.
- Home Cooking now deals elemental damage, with each copy rolling an element; its self-damage was reduced.
- Juiced Up now scales the maximum time between reloads with magazine size, and its damage boost also scales with magazine size. The minimum damage per bullet increased in the 1.0 notes.
Because two pieces in the historical recipe changed pattern, the old grid placement and damage results should be rebuilt and tested. The full notes are in the official 1.0 announcement ↗.
How to retest it
- Start with the intended single-target role and place the current patterns in the grid.
- Compare one damage-focused change at a time; record the weapon level and rolled upgrade values.
- Check reload timing and magazine size after Juiced Up, rather than comparing against a pre-1.0 screenshot.
A 2025 balance discussion and player video can help explain why the weapon was called a “zero-to-hero” option, but neither certifies current 1.0 performance. The build index separates that history from current evidence.
